Effective November 1, 2023, Debra M. Benton started a new position and is no longer the universityregistrar of Ohio University. Transcripts produced after November 1, 2023 that bear her signature are still official university documents. Effective July 1, 2024, Robert W. Bulow is the assistant vice president for student information strategy and university registrar.

Official Transcript Availability Dates

If you place a transcript order in advance and need to have official term grades or degree conferral listed, please select to "hold for grades" or "hold for degree" when placing a transcript order through the Parchment website. Transcripts will be released on the dates listed.

Processing Delays

Transcripts will not be processed if obligations ("holds") exist for the student, such as a campus care hold, library hold, etc. Please contact the office issuing the hold for details.

Ordering transcript online is the easiest and quickest option to order and pay for your transcripts. Available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

You will need your Ohio PID Number (Capital “P” followed by 9 digits). If you do not have your OHIO PID, enter P999999999 as your Unique ID in Parchment. Note:using P999999999 will cause delays in processing.

Certain users of transcripts, such as college admissions offices, require that transcripts be mailed directly to them and refuse hand-carried transcripts. Some users require validated envelopes, which we provide if requested initially. Any additions/changes after delivery will require a new request and fee payment.

All attachments MUST be completed prior to uploading to the transcript order. We will not receive notification to complete an attachment.

We do NOT fax transcripts. We recommend ordering electronic transcripts for immediate delivery.

An Ohio University transcript is the official record of a student's enrollment at Ohio University including all undergraduate, graduate, and medical college courses and degrees. At the request of the student, the transcript may be:

  • Comprehensive - Transcript will show all Ohio University coursework and all degrees

  • Undergraduate - Transcript will only show Undergraduate coursework and all degrees

  • Graduate - Transcript will only show Graduate coursework and all degrees

  • Medical - Transcript will only show Medical coursework and all degrees

Note: Electronic transcripts are only available for students enrolled after Fall Quarter 1985-86. If an electronic transcript is ordered, the institution should receive the transcript by the end of the business day.

Ohio University transcripts are printed on security paper with the transcript key on the back, or are made available as secure electronic documents with a transcript key included.

Because all academic transcripts are official, an "unofficial transcript" cannot be ordered. Please note, if you have a hold on your account, preventing an "official transcript" from being sent, please contact the office issuing the hold. Place Transcript Order Online

Placing a transcript order online is the easiest and quickest option to order and pay for your transcripts. Available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Electronic Transcripts (available for students enrolled after Fall Quarter 1985-86)

  • Most transcripts are sent out and available to the recipient within the same business day.
  • Total cost: $10.45 (transcript + service charge)

Paper Transcripts

  • Available for alumni and current students.
  • Most transcripts are sent within 1-3 business days of receipt of order.
  • Total cost: $12.45 (transcript cost + service charge) additional fees will apply if expedited (FedEx)

In-House Transcript Pick up (Registrar's office - Chubb Hall 115)

  • Available within 1-3 business days, you will receive email notice when your transcript is processed.
  • Total cost: $10.45, Transcript Now fee (same day pick up) $22.45

Information Privacy Policy/Automatic Authorization
Ohio University information privacy policy requires that you provide the school with a signed form authorizing release of your academic transcript before your order can be processed.

Students will provide a signature when ordering the transcript through Parchment.  Saving you time and additional steps.

Order a Transcript In Person

To place your request in person, visit the Office of the Registrar, First Floor Chubb Hall 115 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A QR code will be available to make payments. Ohio University accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards.

  • Transcript fees are $10.00 per copy for processing within three (3) business days.
  • Transcript-Now services are available for an additional fee of $10.00 per copy. Transcript-Now services provides you with a transcript the same day.

  • Transcript requests are normally processed within three (3) business days after receipt of the request.
  • If you are unable to access the online ordering process, please mail or fax us your completed transcript request [PDF] form with payment. (Requires Acrobat Reader or other PDF reader)

College Credit Plus (CC+) Students

Current or previously enrolled Ohio University College Credit Plus students who will be continuing CC+ enrollment at another institution must use the CC+ Transcript Order Form [PDF]

Graduating high school seniors and high school graduates who are applying to colleges or universities for regular admission should order transcripts online through Parchment.

Unofficial Transcripts

Ohio University does not provide unofficial transcripts. If you need an unofficial transcript and have access to your student account, you may use your DARS report. DARS reports are located in your MyOHIO Student Center under Student Services Links.

If you do not have access to your student account, you will need to place an official transcript order via Parchment or submit a ticket to OIT (servicedesk@ohio.edu) to have your student account reactivated in order to obtain a DARS report.
