Best Bets for Baltimore Orioles vs. Colorado Rockies

The best thing that the Rockies have going for them here is that Orioles hitters are unfamiliar with Feltner. Unfortunately, that’s about all they have going for them here. The altitude plays in the favor of a power-hitting squad like the Orioles and even though Kremer has struggled this season, he has been solid in his last three starts, winning two of them. Baltimore has struggled since the All-Star break but this is a prime opportunity for them to get right. The Orioles are the better team here and with their lineup chomping at the bit, you have to think they tee off on Feltner and pile up runs en route to the win.

Prediction: Baltimore Orioles -162

Full-Game Total Pick

Rating:

Baltimore has seen the over post a 74-52-9 mark on the season entering Friday’s action. The Orioles are 3rd in the majors with an average of 4.95 runs per game. That number climbs to an average of 5.17 runs per game on the road this season. Baltimore sees an average total of 9.29 runs per game this year, a number that bumps up to 9.49 runs a game away from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Colorado has seen the over post a 68-64-3 mark in their first 135 games of the year entering Friday’s action. The Rockies are 17th in the majors in runs per game as they put up 4.30 runs per contest, a number that jumps to 5.08 runs per contest at Coors Field. Colorado has seen an average total of 10.12 runs per game and that edges up to 10.72 runs per game in their 66 home games entering Friday. We just saw the Rockies go over the total twice in a series with the Marlins: Baltimore puts up crooked numbers and pushes this over the mark.

Prediction: Over 11
